The Tony Shafrazi Gallery is pleased to announce the exhibition of Perry Ogden, Photographs, 7 Reece Mews, Francis Bacon's Studio. Perry Ogden is an internationally renowned photographer currently residing in Dublin.
In 1998, the studio of Francis Bacon in South Kensington, was donated to the Hugh Lane Municipal Art Gallery in Dublin by his estate. Ogden was commissioned to document the studio and its contents. With meticulous precision, he photographed every part of the studio as it was left years ago. Ogden's inquisitive eye leads us through Bacon's debris, and allows for an opportunity to examine closely visual mementos and personal effects of the artist.
This exhibition includes a selected 25 editioned photographs from the series.
