Detritus is the result of six years of collaborative work between Ivory Press and The Francis Bacon Estate. It consists of a selection of material from the Francis Bacon studio with guidance and supervision of Brian Clarke, the executor of The Francis Bacon Estate. The 75 items of photographs, books, sketches, letters, and documents selected, have been painstakingly duplicated with extraordinary care and precision and reproduced in facsimile in a limited edition of 25 with one artist proof, compiled and published in 2006 by Ivory Press.
